After our two great days in Bermuda, our ship sailed back to Baltimore. When we got to Baltimore, we choose to be one of the last people off the ship. It was really nice because Royal Caribbean now allows you to stay in your stateroom until 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. We got off the ship around 10am and went through customs. It was funny because the customs officer was quite impressed with all of the stamps in our passports. He kept flipping through our passports and looking at all of the visas and stamps we had. He asked about our occupations and commented on how much we traveled.

The process of getting off the ship was fairly easy. It still amazed us that our car was right outside the cruise terminal. We have never cruised before where we actually drove our car to the port. We are used to getting a taxi and trying to get to the airport. It worked out nicely.
We drove to Ocean City, MD. It was about 3 hour drive from Baltimore. The traffic was fairly light and got in a little before 2pm. We checked into our hotel Dunes Manor. It was nice. It was at the end of the boardwalk at the start of the dunes, hence the name.

We checked into our hotel on July 1st. That was a major day for us because it was the first day the Lebron James was a free agent. We knew this day was coming for a while but the news coverage on it was unbelievable. We kept checking Twitter for Lebron updates and watching ESPN. It was amazing to see all the things that were going on back home in Cleveland about Lebron. It was nice because Lebron made all the teams come to Cleveland to make their pitch to him.

Ocean City has a boardwalk that runs for about 30 blocks. It is right on the ocean. There are shops, restaurants, and hotels along the boardwalk. Our hotel was at one end and at the other was a carnival like park. It is about 2 1/2 mile walk from one end to the other. There is a tram that one can take but it cost $3 per person per ride. We choose to walk each time and we walked down there three times.

On our first full day in Ocean City we woke up and went to the Fractured Prune donut shop. A girl at work told me about it and I knew we had to check it out. It is a locally owned donut shop where they make the donuts right when you order them. They are not sitting out at all. They have all kinds of different types of donuts like strawberry shortcake, trail mix, peppermint patty, and blueberry muffin. We got 6 donuts and took them back to our hotel to eat them on the balcony. They were sooooo good! They were warm since they just made them!
After breakfast, we walked on the boardwalk for a while. Also we walked the beach with our feet in the ocean. The high temperature was 80 and the water was a little cool so only our feet got into the ocean. It was a beautiful day.

For lunch, we decided to order a pizza. We also got the famous Thrasher French Fries. People on our cruise ship told us that we had to try them so we got them too for lunch. They don't serve ketchup with them because they are so good you don't need ketchup with them.

That night we again walked down the boardwalk. It was so nice and relaxing. At night the boardwalk has street performers. In Virgina Beach, the city pays the street performers because they don't want them asking visitors for money (tipping is forbidden there). However in Ocean City, the performers are not paid by the city so they expect visitors to tip them.

We enjoyed a nice salad for dinner on the boardwalk. It was fun watching all the people. Ocean City was busy. It is a nice family vacation spot. After our fun evening, we went back to our hotel to get some sleep. We had a long drive back to Ohio the next day.
